Dr. Stefan Danilla is a globally recognized plastic surgeon specializing in body contouring, breast surgery, and gluteal surgery. He is the creator of the RAFT (Rectus Abdominis Amplification with Fat Transfer) technique, which has positioned him as a Key Opinion Leader in aesthetic body contour surgery. His approach emphasizes natural and elegant results, integrating modern techniques, advanced technology, and personalized patient care to deliver high-end surgical outcomes.
He is the Co-founder of Clínica Aurea and an Associated Surgeon at Clínica Las Condes de Santiago. He has also played key leadership roles in the Chilean Society of Plastic Surgery, serving as Scientific Director, Secretary General, and Vice President, leading initiatives in scientific education and public safety in plastic surgery.
With a Master’s in Clinical Epidemiology, Dr. Danilla has pioneered the use of Patient-Reported Outcomes in aesthetic surgery, developing Body-QoL to measure and scientifically validate the impact of body contouring, breast, and facial surgery. His research has influenced public health policies and insurance coverage for procedures like breast reduction and abdominoplasty.
As a former Head of the Plastic Surgery Residency Program at the University of Chile, he has contributed to the modernization of plastic surgery education. He is a widely published researcher, with over 100 scientific articles, and has served as an epidemiology advisor to the Ministry of Health during the COVID-19 crisis.
A sought-after international speaker, Dr. Danilla has lectured at ISAPS World Congress, IMCAS, ASAPS, CATBBAS in Brussels, and multiple global conferences.
